Small Businesses Create, Train Jobs with Support from Montana Department of Commerce

The Department of Commerce today announced grants to grow small businesses across Montana through workforce development.

The Primary Sector Workforce Training Grant is a competitive grant in which a business creating good-paying jobs may be reimbursed for costs of training its new employees. For this cycle, Commerce will reimburse up to $342,722 to train employees for an estimated 183 new jobs.

"Job creation and workforce training go hand in hand," said Commerce Director Pam Haxby-Cote. "By doing both, Montana’s small businesses are growing, creating opportunities, and investing in their employees’ success all at the same time."
