Montana-based AIS Solution launches pilot program to help prevent invasive species

A Montana-based company launched a pilot program this summer that’s aimed at stopping the spread of invasive species and also helps the watercraft inspection process.

"The pilot program hopes to get boats out on the water in the Flathead Valley quicker while still keeping the inspection process thorough," said Matt Redding, the AIS Solution https://www.aissolutions.org/products/ vice president.

Flathead Valley waters are free of mussels for now, but it is big trouble for fish, recreation and water quality if that changes.

AIS Solutions https://www.aissolutions.org/products/ plans to keep invasive species from entering the Columbia River Basin by using GPS tracking.
