Food Park president ‘100 percent committed’ to meat processing plant in Cascade County, Montana

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

In his first public statement in more than two months, Madison Food Park president Edward Friesen said he remains "100 percent committed" to building a large meat processing facility in Cascade County.

"We are 100 percent committed to this project," Friesen said in an exclusive phone interview with the Great Falls Tribune. "It will go through at the time and at the speed that it will lead to. No project of this caliber, to my knowledge, has been attempted before in Cascade County; therefore there is no precedent there for us to follow. We need to take it one step at a time and work through all the different facets of the project."
