Are you interested in participating in a stakeholder group to discuss opportunities to expand residential and small-commercial clean energy financing in Montana?

The Montana Energy Office is developing a stakeholder group that it plans to convene regularly to discuss opportunities to expand residential and small-commercial clean energy financing in Montana. Your involvement in and awareness of issues related to grants, rebates, lending, tax credits, and other incentives for clean energy would be a valuable contribution to this group.

We are aware that different groups across the state are interested in or have already begun developing their own energy efficiency and renewable energy financing programs. Our intent is to facilitate a forum that improves communication among entities working to develop clean energy financing, supports collaboration and innovation, and help to identify and resolve barriers to providing clean energy financing for Montana consumers. Ultimately, we intend to develop a roundtable format that meets the needs of those working on these issues.

Draft Agenda:

Identify objectives of stakeholder group:

What (if any) clean energy financing programs are you currently running or interested in getting started?

What kind of support do you need to make your work on clean energy financing successful?

Round-robin discussion from stakeholders regarding:

Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE)

Alternative Energy Revolving Loan Program (AERLP)

private lending

local government initiatives

on-bill financing, etc.
