Great Falls Development Authority CEO Brett Doney speaks out on Madison Food Park: ‘Wait until we have the facts’

In the debate over the promised benefits and feared consequences of the Madison Food Park, the voice of most public officials has been conspicuously absent.

None of Cascade County’s Commissioners, nor any members of the Great Falls City Commission has offered public support or opposition for the proposal to build an industrial scale slaughterhouse/food processing facility on the edge of the city. Nor have state representatives from the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, the Department of Environmental Quality, or the Montana Department of Transportation.

One of the reasons for this is that few concrete specifics regarding the Madison Food Park proposal have been made public.

One exception to the general lack of official comment has come from the Great Falls Development Authority http://www.gfdevelopment.org/ .
