Plan for growth: City leaders lay out Bozeman’s future
April 24, 2018 /
Bozeman leaders need to plan for the city like it’s double the size.
That’s what city department heads said during a panel discussion Monday afternoon about how officials are responding to more people in Bozeman and what’s next. The Chronicle hosted the talk at the Hilton Garden Inn.
City Manager Andrea Surratt showed a map of development in Bozeman since the city’s population stood at 30,000 in 2002 to today’s roughly 45,000. She said in 2017, Bozeman issued 4,074 building permits. She said those are numbers typically seen in a community twice Bozeman’s size.
