Community Solar Funding Available in Montana

I’d like to call your attention to an exciting renewable energy development opportunity. The Montana Energy Office at the Department of Environmental Quality is leading the Montana Solar Community Project, a collaborative effort to expand access to solar energy projects across the state. As part of the project we will be awarding matching grants later this year of up to $15,000 for costs related to designing, engineering, and organizing "community-scale" solar projects. Eligible project types will include solar installations on community-owned buildings, solar group purchasing campaigns, and shared solar installations. The funding notice will be issued in May and there will be a kick-off workshop in June. To learn more about the project, sign up for notices, and to view the resources we have already developed through this project, including a guide for how to develop community-scale solar projects, please visit http://www.mtsolarcommunity.com.
