Maintain investment in Montana’s schools

As I enter the spring of my third year as the superintendent of Missoula County Public Schools (MCPS), I am proud of the success I see in every corner of our district. Our nine elementary schools, three middle schools, four high schools and one alternative high school program are responsible for the education of more than 9,200 youth in Missoula County.

I would like to share some of the reasons I think our students and staff are so exceptional. Our juniors performed a point higher than the state average on the ACT test and we have an 85.5 percent graduation rate with a 3.2 percent dropout rate. Beyond their success in high school, students enter jobs and college prepared to reach their highest potential.
