Governor to fill two openings on Montana Board of Regents – Will be accepting applications.

The governor has a couple of openings to fill on the Montana Board of Regents, the seven-member board that oversees the state’s colleges and sets policies affecting more than 38,000 students.

Bill Johnstone told fellow regents this month at their meeting in Dillon that he was resigning early after four years on the Board of Regents. That creates a vacancy in a seat with a term that expires in 2024.

In addition, student Regent Chase Greenfield, an English and philosophy major at the University of Montana, is expected to attend his last meeting in May. His one-year term ends in June.
