Oregon’s education models must reflect industry and student needs

It is time for a shift in how we think about both secondary and higher education in Oregon. As Gov. Kate Brown emphasized in her recent State of the State address, it is vital that we pivot our focus in higher education toward technical education and industry needs while making sure programs are uniquely tailored to diverse students. Career-focused workforce development is key to ensuring economic prosperity for all Oregonians.
