Great Falls Montana Growth Highlights

Total Wages in Great Falls MSA (Cascade County) grew 16% over the 4 years ending 2017Q3, adding $210 million in annual wage earnings. Average weekly wages increased 15.2% over the same period. Moody’s projects personal income growth of 6.2% in 2018, 5.0% in 2019, and a total of 21% over the next 5 years. Per capita income grew 2.9% in 2016, beating the national average of 1.6% and placing GF MSA in top 20% of all U.S. metro areas. 2016 GDP grew 1.6% after inflation, the highest metro rate in Montana. Great Falls ranked 14th best small city in nation for 2018 college graduates.
