MSU TechLink Spring SBIR/STTR Lunch & Learn Series And Technical Assistance For Montana Innovators! - 2/14 - Bozeman

February 9, 2018View for printing

MSU TechLink's SBIR Outreach helps MSU entrepreneurial researchers and Montana small businesses compete for over $2.5 billion dollars in federal funding grants and contracts awarded annually through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program. This seed funding is non-dilutive and never has to be repaid or matched.

Montana small businesses have competed and won over 680 SBIR or STTR awards since the program's inception in 1982 receiving a total of over $183 million. Over $53 million of that has been awarded in the past 5 years!

Impressive.

But that's a drop in the bucket!

Rural states like Montana are underrepresented in the overall count of SBIR/STTR awardees.

Let's change that! Join MSU TechLink for our Spring SBIR/STTR Lunch & Learn Series starting this Wednesday, February 14th in PBS 108. We'll provide relevant, actionable information and lunch; you bring curiosity, ideas, drive and an appetite.

Each session will cover SBIR program basics as well as agency-specific details for upcoming opportunities. You'll also learn about assistance available from TechLink and our regional economic development partners like the Montana Technology Innovation Partnership.

Here are a few of our upcoming Lunch & Learn sessions:

Valentine's Day Wednesday, February 14th at 12:05 PM in Plant Bioscience 108. (Check montana.edu/parking for a map and parking information or contact Ann for more info.)

March 7th at 12:05 PM Location TBA

March 21st at 12:05 PM Location TBA

Montana's innovation capacity is strong and Gallatin County is especially competitive compared to counties across the nation.
