Thoughts on the New Year from Robert Kennedy

At the dawn of a new year; we look back on what was, what could have been, then ask ourselves, where do we go from here?

Though, we may have faced troubled times; overcoming adversity only makes us stronger.

We may have made errors in judgment, or hold guilt for what we may, or may not have said and done; those mistakes will only make us wiser.

We may have had doubt of self, or of where to look for guidance, but learning to find that strength inside ourselves and each other; only makes us more hopeful.

We must not look back, to focus on the bad, or the opportunities missed.

We must look forward, towards the future, with a commitment to ourselves, to do better each day, to look for the good in each moment, and in each other.

With these lessons learned, and with that pledge to ourselves, we greet 2018 head on; a little stronger, a little wiser, and a little more hopeful.

Knowing that if we can make it through this past year; together, we can make this New Year a little better, a little brighter, and a little bit happier.

"There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" –

Robert Kennedy
