Porsche is betting on an electric future, CEO says

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

"We will stay close to our roots, so that our Porsche heritage can be combined with new technologies," said Porsche CEO Oliver Blume. "You can be sure when we come out with an electric car, its driving dynamics, acceleration and quality all will be typical Porsche."

Blume told a few hundred Porsche fans, dealers and analysts that the company’s first all-electric model would be priced roughly around its current Panamera sedan ($100,000, also about the cost of a Model S), take 15 minutes to recharge its 400-mile range batteries (Tesla’s sedan tops out at around 315 miles) and will hit a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour, or 155 mph (the same as the Model S).
