Google will expand Portland office by 40 percent
November 4, 2017 /
Google is adding to its downtown Portland engineering office, adding 8,000 square feet to the 18,000 square feet it currently occupies.
The tech giant has had a Portland presence since 2010, when it purchased a small Tualatin company called Instantiations and moved operations downtown. Last year it moved into renovated offices in the US National Bank Block on Southwest Sixth Avenue.
The company leased 26,000 square feet at that location but initially built out only 18,000 square feet. Google says it’s now building out the rest.
