Associated Chambers of Commerce Recruiting Small Business Saturday Participants

The Associated Chambers of Commerce group is recruiting small, local businesses to participate in Small Business Saturday. Held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year, Small Business Saturday promotes supporting the small, local businesses that help create jobs, boost the economy, and invigorate neighborhoods across the Flathead Valley and Northwest Montana.

The last day for small businesses to sign up with their local chamber of commerce is Wednesday, November 1. This year is the third year the Associated Chambers group has partnered together on the event and they’re encouraging every small business to sign up with the chamber of commerce in their respective cities.

In 2016, there were over 150 small businesses who signed up with the Bigfork, Columbia Falls, Kalispell, Lakeside Somers, and Whitefish chambers of commerce, and many business owners claim Small Business Saturday was their best business day last year.

Participation in Small Business Saturday is free and many of the chambers will be providing free marketing materials such as Shop Small branded bags, posters, window decorations, and a variety of print and digital marketing efforts to qualifying businesses that sign up.
