Idaho’s Solar Roadways Explores Conductive Charging

Solar Roadways http://www.solarroadways.com/ is working to create a future where we can all jump in an EV and take a road trip, charging on clean sunshine and never having to stop to find charging stations.

Dynamic Electric Vehicle Charging News: We have just returned from a trip to Logan, Utah, where we had another meeting with the folks at The Center for Sustainable Electrified Transportation (SELECT) at Utah State University. SELECT is a multi-university industry funded research center led by USU. We were so excited to finally view their electric vehicle and roadway research facility and test track, where they are working on dynamic wireless power transfer for electric vehicles.

We discussed options for mutually beneficial collaboration to create dynamic charging for Solar Roadway’s applications, including driveways, parking lots and roadways. We’re also looking into setting up a test area for our panels on their test track. Looking forward to continuing the conversation with these innovative folks to provide way of deploying our technologies together.
