The robots are coming. Not just the physical ones manufactured in metal, but the virtual ones created by programming algorithms. Bots. Already, physical robots have replaced machinists, manufacturing assembly workers, and other blue-collar workers. Now their white-collar counterparts are next.

A 2013 study by researchers at Oxford University predicted that as many as 47% of all jobs in the United States will eventually be automated–performed by robots or bots–in the not-too-distant future.
