FVCC Offers Grant Writing Workshop Series

FVCC’s Continuing Education Center will host a workshop series designed to help volunteers, board members and staff of nonprofit organizations understand the elements of successful grant writing. "Grant Writing Fundamentals" will be held October 10, 17 and 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the college.

Free prerequisite workshops explaining the process for starting a nonprofit and using the Foundation Directory Online will be offered on October 5 from 1:30 to 4:45 p.m. at ImagineIF Libraries in Kalispell. For more information or to register for the prerequisite workshops, contact Marilyn Bennett at 406-758-5823 or [email protected].

Taught by Certified Fund Raising Executive Chany Ockert, "Grant Writing Fundamentals" will define the grant writing cycle, key elements of a success proposal, and the tools and content needed to prepare one or multiple proposals throughout the year.

"Grant writing can seem like a daunting process. This course will give attendees a framework for writing and managing grant applications, increasing the likelihood of success," said Ockert.

Cost to register for "Grant Writing Fundamentals" is $96 per person. For more information or to register, visit http://www.fvcc.edu/workforcetraining or contact the Continuing Education Center at 756-3832 or [email protected].
