Request for Proposals from Fundraising Consultants – Humanities Montana

Humanities Montana is considering contracting with a fundraising consultant and/or company to help us grow our fundraising capacity from individuals, corporations and foundations throughout the state and nation. Our primary goal is to increase the number and amount of major gifts.

Humanities Montana is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to providing programs and grants on history, literature, Native American Studies, contemporary issues, and more all across the state of Montana. We are celebrating our 45th year of service to Montana; each year we typically provide up to 240 programs and $150,000 in grants to organizations throughout Montana.

We are an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities and receive 75% of our funding from that source. Our primary challenge going forward is to build our resources through private and foundation giving, so we can provide more learning opportunities for Montanans and reduce our dependence on federal funding in a time of uncertainty at the federal level.
