Experience One is a more practical way to learn.Experience One
The University of Montana Western is the only public college in the country to offer a block scheduling program. We call this innovative program Experience One (X1). Here’s how it works. Students take one class at a time, three hours each day for 18 days before moving on to the next class. In between, they enjoy a four day break to relax and recharge. Then the students move on to the next class. Taking four classes or "blocks" during the semester, students earn the same amount of credit they’d earn under traditional multi-class systems.
