Search for new University of Montana president narrowed to 13

A search committee selected 13 semifinalists — nearly half are women — to interview in person as candidates for president of the University of Montana.

Kevin McRae, deputy commissioner of communications for the Montana Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education, provided the update Tuesday after Commissioner Clayton Christian briefed him on the meeting. Christian is serving as chair of the search committee.
