The Route of the Hiawatha Bike Trail – 10 Tunnels, Trestle Crossings, Amazing Views… just don’t forget your headlight.

In Mineral County, one historic bike path draws thousands every year. Through tunnels and over trestle bridges, the Hiawatha Bike Trail http://www.ridethehiawatha.com/ is one of a kind.

This is Taft Tunnel, it is about 1.7 miles long, pitch black, and the entrance to the Hiawatha Trail.

That was just one of ten tunnels along the 15-mile route.
