In Montana’s Missouri River country, a nice chance to slow down

Ed Kemmick took some fine photos Wednesday while making a purposeful, four-hour detour on his way home to Billings from Great Falls. But no photos can describe how good it felt to be out in the wide-open country of central Montana on a perfect June morning with the windows rolled down, the better to hear the meadowlarks and breathe in the emptiness.
