Etsy learns it’s hard to be a B Corp and be publicly owned

Etsy’s management practices, including its certification as a B Corporation and its spending on employees’ comfort, left it vulnerable to activist investors who recently forced out the CEO. Etsy may be a victim of its own success, as no one thought initially the company would successful enough to survive, let alone go public, write Max Chafkin and Jing Cao.
