Lawmakers discuss 2017 Legislature and stress bipartisanship at City Club Missoula luncheon

Two Missoula lawmakers from each side of the aisle talked about the need for greater bipartisanship at a City Club Missoula http://www.cityclubmissoula.com/ luncheon on Monday.

Brad Tschida http://leg.mt.gov/css/Sessions/65th/leg_info.asp?HouseID=0&SessionID=111&LAWSID=16525 , a Republican who represents House District 97, and Nate McConnell http://leg.mt.gov/css/Sessions/65th/leg_info.asp?HouseID=0&SessionID=111&LAWSID=16397 , a Democrat who represents House District 89, spent the hour giving the audience a wrap-up of the recently concluded state legislative session, including what didn’t work and what they found successful.

"Sometimes we fail to honor the other side of the divide in how we see things," Tschida said. "Sometimes we put blinders on and don’t look at how what we’re doing is going to impact what the other side is trying to do."
