Advocates Push to Revive Federal Funding for Schools Near National Forests

Rural school districts with small budgets and large swaths of National Forest land fear another year without a major source of financial support: the Secure Rural Schools program. Though there are several bills on the table in Congress, the program’s future is far from secure.
