Proterra to test self-driving bus in downtown Reno

Companies from Uber to Ford are racing to deploy self-driving taxis on city streets, perhaps within five years.

Other robot vehicles may not be far behind.

Proterra, the Burlingame electric bus company, has partnered with the University of Nevada, Reno to develop and test autonomous buses in the heart of Reno’s downtown.
