Maybe, just maybe Montana has shaken off the last of winter and outdoorsmen can finally switch gears to summer.

No matter if the weather cooperates, the Montana Wilderness Association is beckoning in the season with the 55-year-old Wilderness Walks program. However, this year the coveted books have a new look and expanded focus.

The freshly minted "Discover Wild Montana" book continues to highlight the anticipated schedule of free, guided hikes throughout the state, but now also includes trail stewardship projects and recommended hikes from the organization’s online trail guide.
