Officials: Montana would be last in nation for higher education spending if state budget stands

Montana will be dead last in the nation for dollars spent on higher education per pupil if the state budget stands, according the Montana Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education.
And a tuition increase of nearly 18 percent for residents is on the table, according to the agency.
