Electronics recycling will return to Casper council after mayor changes her mind
February 27, 2017 /
Casper City Council will formally revisit whether to recycle electronics waste after Mayor Kenyne Humphrey reversed her earlier opposition to discussing the matter again.
Citing the cost of a new contract, council members unanimously voted to cancel the electronics recycling program earlier this month.
Following a public outcry over the plan to begin dumping electronics waste containing toxic materials in the city landfill, council narrowly decided not to formally reconsider the issue.
