EmpowerMT launches ‘inclusive community’ training across Montana

EmpowerMT is launching a training series for people who lately have found themselves asking, "What do we do?"

The training, "Building Skills for an Inclusive Community," kicks off its statewide tour Sunday at Missoula’s Har Shalom. EmpowerMT is a nonprofit with a focus on developing leaders to interrupt oppression, prejudice and violence.

The material covered at the trainings is not new; EmpowerMT teaches the same skills in its leadership development at businesses, nonprofits and schools.

Missoula: 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Har Shalom, 3035 S. Russell St.

Helena: 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Helena Indian Alliance Gym, 501 Euclid Ave.

Bozeman: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Come On Inn, 6139 E. Valley Center Road (lunch included)

Billings: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, March 25 at Mayflower Congregational Church, 2940 Poly Drive (lunch included)

Whitefish/Kalispell: Saturday, April 1 at Flathead Community College Arts and Technology Building, 777 Grandview Drive

There is a $15 to $30 sliding scale registration fee for the Missoula, Helena and Kalispell trainings, and a $30 to $80 sliding scale registration fee for the Bozeman and Billings trainings.
