Wyoming Superintendents express concern about major education legislation

Superintendents across the state are trying to assess two major pieces of education legislation released last week that could significantly affect the future of school funding in Wyoming.
It’s no secret, the officials acknowledged, that Wyoming in general, and education in particular, are facing a fiscal crisis. The numbers are bleak: The funding shortfall for schools will be $400 million annually in the coming years and could hit $1.8 billion by the end of the 2022 fiscal year, officials estimate.
