Senate passes bill allowing state control of legislative coverage – "It’s clear they want to take over."

A bill that could give state officials control of Montana’s gavel-to-gavel legislative television coverage passed the Senate on Friday with almost no opposition.

When the Legislative Council Subcommittee on TVMT held their first meeting, there were no minutes, audio or video from the meeting.

"It’s like it never happened," Maly said. "It’s clear they want to take over."
