Montana Career Opportunity – Montana Teachers Teaching Tech Program Director – Big Sky Code Academy

Montana Teachers Teaching Tech is an initiative of the Big Sky Code Academy to train 500 K-12 educators in computer science by the summer of 2020. This program was born out of a partnership with Code.org. Big Sky Code Academy is the Montana Regional Partner for Code.org

Job Description:
Do you have a love of technology? Are you passionate about expanding computer science in our K-12 system? Are you a current or former K-12 educator that is looking for a change?

The Big Sky Code Academy is looking for a motivated individual to take charge of our Montana Teachers Teaching Tech program (we call the program MTcubed). This is a full time salaried position with benefits. Compensation will be competitive.

Responsibilities include:

* This is a new program. You will work with our founder and our Code.org Regional Partner Manager to develop the structure of the program and implement it.

* Partnership development with nonprofit partners

* Ensure successful implementation of the MTcubed program

* Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time

* Exceptional attention to detail

* Entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to think beyond the traditional

* Resourceful, innovative, and forward-thinking

* Ability to meet deadlines and juggle several projects in a fast-paced environment

* Willingness to work long hours when necessary

* Ability to be a team player

* Awareness and understanding of the landscape of our community (including resources, non-profits, government support, etc.)

Candidates can be based anywhere in Montana. We currently have team members in Missoula and Billings.
