Missoula lawmakers offer legislative preview at City Club
The state of Montana is returning $120 million in federal transportation money because it didn’t have the adequate 13.9 percent match, said Missoula County Commissioner Jean Curtiss.
Local projects are delayed.
"How are you going to budget for that? Because that is money we could have used," said Curtiss, who learned about the return of federal money at a meeting last week with the Montana Department of Transportation.
The commissioner posed the question Monday to local Reps. Nate McConnell and Brad Tschida, who shared their priorities at City Club Missoula for the upcoming 2017 Montana Legislature.
