Montana County Commissioners talk importance of MACO Conference

County Commissioners from around the state gather in Billings this week for the annual MACo Conference. We asked commissioners the significance of the 4-day event and the intended outcome.

"There is not one county the same in this state, so some things we share and some things we just learn by talking to each other," said Stillwater County Commissioner Maureen Davey.

"Before the legislature goes into session, we have a very specific meeting trying to make sure that we’ve identified our concerns that we need to have corrected by the legislature, so we don’t always agree, but we find solutions and that’s what makes it work," said Commissioner Greg Chilcott of Ravalli County.
