Kalipsell Call Center Calls it Quits- Stream International to lay off more than 300 workers by fall.

Stream International of Kalispell announced today it is closing its doors and laying off almost 330 people by the end of November.

Spokesman Bob Kula says the firm ran into problems — including poor economic conditions and a tough market for electronics. The company provides technical support to computer and Internet-based companies and has been in Kalispell since 2000. It employed 900 workers at one time.

The annual payroll in Kalispell was roughly ten-million dollars. Kula says workers were informed of the shutdown and the company has promised to work with local officials to help them find work.

The state and the city of Kalispell gave the Massachusetts-based company millions of dollars of in incentives to open the Kalispell operation.
