Small towns try co-ops to keep essential businesses

"The number of businesses in Choteau, Montana has been whittled down in the last 25 years or so," said Herald Yeager, 75, who owns the Repair Shop at the Choteau Airport. Even though the town population has remained steady at about 1,700, he’s seen the town go from three groceries and several service stations to one grocery and three stations, only one of which provides auto service.
