Sweetgrass Development seeking economic development input

The Sweetgrass Development http://www.sweetgrassdevelopment.org Board of Directors and Strategy committee are seeking input in developing their Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy document for the five county region. The CEDS is a five year roadmap for certification as an economic development district, through the U.S. Economic Development Administration. The process is designed to bring together the public and private sectors in the creation of an economic roadmap to diversify and strengthen our regional economy.

The process itself will include needs assessment, data research and collection, broad community participation, analysis of the region’s economy, an inventory of the economic development tools throughout the region, an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses within the region’s economy, a review of the organization’s vision statement, goals & objectives, and an evaluation method of the goals and objectives.
