Bozeman-based The Wild West Shirt Co. selected for Fruit of the Loom’s national campaign

The Wild West Shirt Co. http://wildwestshirts.com/ got its start how many businesses do: in the trunk of a car.

In 1966, University of Montana student Don Cowles decided to sell T-shirts as memorabilia to his fellow "Savages" in Yellowstone National Park. "Savage" was a self-given nickname for park employees who spent their summers in the great backyard of Montana and Wyoming. During that summer, Cowles sold shirts with the Savage name and logo to his coworkers.

This February, his Wild West Shirt Co. was selected as one of four businesses to create a promotional video http://www.fruitactivewear.com/hdcotton/decorators.html. for Fruit of the Loom’s national advertising campaign.
