Billings retailer, Home Science Tools, aiming for bigger chunk of online science tools market

In a market where Amazon is king, Frank Schaner is seeking every opportunity to make his Billings-based online retailer stand out.

Last week, Schaner completed a $1.8 million renovation of Home Science Tools http://www.homesciencetools.com/ , an education resource company, at 665 Carbon St. on Billings West End. He roughly doubled the office and warehouse space, plans to add five full-time and two part-time employees and will expand his product lines.
