Montana Governor Steve Bullock releases new policy regarding state aircraft
March 19, 2016 /
Gov. Steve Bullock on Friday released a new policy regarding his office’s use of the state airplane in the wake of criticism for using the aircraft that combined official state business with campaigning.
And his re-election campaign reimbursed the state $2,671.84 for nonstate-related costs since he was elected in 2012.
The state is adhering to longstanding policy that aircraft can be used to conduct business on behalf of the state and attendance at a campaign event on the same day must be "ancillary," or secondary.
