STE(A)M education is everyone’s business

STEM Billings http://www.stembillings.org/ is a partnership between business, education and volunteers to elevate the awareness of science, technology, engineering and math for kids in our community. The results have been profound.

Looking into the eyes of a child, you see many things: unlimited curiosity, rampant anticipation and just a little bit of mischief.

When the child is provided with the right environment, you can also see a desire to learn and a joy from accomplishing goals based on their new knowledge. You can watch that same child calculate the weight bearing capacity of a small bridge, upgrade the design of a balloon-powered car, look at rocks to see if they may contain energy resources or analyze the best process to filter contaminated water. And in doing so, you see that child develop the kinds of life and education skills that will set him or her up for future success.
