Nonprofits pay women leaders less than men
January 31, 2016 /
Female nonprofit leaders in Montana earn 77 cents for every $1 their male counterparts make, according to new data from nonprofit research organization GuideStar.
The organization, which is itself a 501(c)(3), compiled the wage data of nonprofit staff members using publicly disclosed 990 tax forms from the fiscal year 2013 in its annual Compensation Report. The Chronicle analyzed information from more than 900 organizations across the state for this story, with assistance from GuideStar.
