Economic outlook seminar this week Feb 4 at NorthWestern’s new Butte office building

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

The Bureau of Business and Economic Research brings its annual seminar to Butte from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, in NorthWestern Energy’s new headquarters at Park and Main.

It is one of nine seminars where the bureau will release its inaugural Montana Economic Report.

The comprehensive assessment of economic activity in Montana will cover topics such as a 2015 year in review, the U.S. economic outlook, an in-depth look at the Montana economy, and assessments of eight key industry sectors in Montana, including technology and innovation, farming and ranching, and logistics and transportation.
