Economic Outlook tour reaches Great Falls on Wednesday, 1/27

Experts from the University of Montana’s Bureau of Business and Economic Research will be in Great Falls on Wednesday morning with their 41th annual Economic Outlook Seminar, with forecasts for Montana and the Great Falls region.

In an opinion piece released before the nine-city tour that started in Helena on Tuesday and ends in Havre on March 16, BBER Director Patrick Barkey said Montana has "slowly, incrementally righted itself" in the seven years since the Great Recession officially ended and now has full employment throughout the state. But the state faces other challenges, including skilled worker shortages and lower energy and commodity prices, he said.
