Tailoring Our Transportation Systems for Self-Driving Cars – Much better use of space

In guiding the transformation, governments need to be in the driver’s seat.

According to Audi, 60 percent more self-driving cars can be squeezed into a parking garage because they need less room to self-park. The garage itself no longer would need to be located downtown, and existing parking structures and curbside spots could be freed up for other uses.
