President Engstrom faces criticism for University of Montana enrollment woes
December 4, 2015 /
The University of Montana and its president, Royce Engstrom, are under fire after announcing that 201 jobs will be cut due to declining enrollment at the four-year, liberal arts college in Missoula.
A petition is circulating online to get Democratic Gov. Steve Bullock involved in evaluating Engstrom’s leadership after the university’s enrollment has continued to decline since 2011 by almost 2,000 students. Engstrom said previously a $10 million budget adjustment will need to be made.
