Western states top report on overall economic performance; Utah most ‘fundamentally sound’

Western states earned the highest marks for economic performance in Enterprising States: States Innovate, a study by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Eight western states populated the top 10 for overall economic performance, with North Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Colorado and Wyoming leading the national rankings.
